Harment in the work place? Or more?

I was the only female employed at an Electric Coop in S.C. I worked field accts. with 6 other men. I am a widow, & have a son who is disabled w/ severe asthma. My boss constantly called me on my days off (vac days), followed me to my OBGYN and called 2 ask me what my doctor said. He made a comment about my life (that if I was having with a boyfriend I would go to hell). My son almost died 2 X b4 I could get to him from my job and to a hospital, they admitted him and my boss wanted me to leave my son and come to work. (as I said I'm an only parent) I went to his boss and complained two times and he was not fired, instead they retaliated against me to push me to quit. I wanted to apply for a job higher up in my office, normal policy is to post the job for 3 wks. & allow people to apply, I told my boss I wanted to apply for the job & instead of posting, they just hired someone. He also made rules that only applied to me and not the other men in the office. I finally quit.
