What part of Denver or surrouning area is cool for a single 25 y/o female pothead?

I've been reading about all the the little suburbs. I live in Houston so I don't want to be near any "ghettos" if you know what I mean. From what I've read Boulder is way too expensive for me. What about Lakewood, Littleton, etc?
