So do liberals really support the law that allowed the government to ban books?

Rahm Emanuel said "the First Amendment is overrated." He meant it. Liberals were formerly the great champions of the First Amendment. Not so any more. Take a look at the people seeking to suppress speech -- nine times out of ten, they are on the left. I suspect it has to do with the fact that the vast majority of media outlets are on the left. If independent speech is banned, the leftist media has a virtual monopoly of speech.
