How to remove adhesive from limestone?

You don t say what kind of adhesive, and so far no answer will cut or remove either a mastic or a thin set. And the coloring in them may stain a natural stone product. Mastics shouldn t be used for this so I ll guess it s a thin set. The use of a white doodle bug pad and a pc of wood or a plastic scr to remove as much access as possible..Now you ll need a small bottle ( their only sold in 8 ozs) of tile grout ,thin set , effervescent remover. I use it straight w/ a white nylon pad ( carefully) and then rinse well..Seal the lime stone, since it should ve been sealed before installation to prevent this.
