I am worried too much ..pls help?

My husband (age 45 yrs) has pain in the lower part of his abdomen that to left side more, it is almost near the groin area from past 15 days. We thought it is due to gas and he took many gastric medicines, but in vain. What may be the cause? pls help he is worried toooo much.
