Is a baby bouncer necessary?

Bouncers can be nice but their better when they're older as they don't have a lot of head support. I often had my baby in a sling but you can't do that all the time (showers, cooking) and cribs can feel very big when they're new, you're baby will be used to tight spaces. I bought a playpen from Graco that had a changing station and a newborn napper. It was wonderful and she loved it. Now that she's outgrown it its time for her to nap in her crib.
