My roomates dog ate a pot product?

My roommates are idiots I just want to state that right of the bat. Anyhow there dog ate some intense pot quiche I made. It got sick no duh....teach the dog to not eat out of the trash really. Anyhow this dog got sick and was unable to move and pretty much use the bathroom everywhere. They freaked out took it to the vet and wasted a ton of cash. A nurse friend of my confirmed along with a doctor that pot cannot kill a dog. They said if my dum roommates had left the dog outside alone and watched it....the animal would have been as soon as is cycled the stuff through it's system. They wanted to talk about this incident on sunday when it happened like 2 months ago. Can anyone on here confirm that my roommates are stupid and wasted their money. And that their dog would have been fine....I think she just licked a piece of tinfoil that was covering the Quiche I through it in the trash dim move on my part. quiche is a egg dish the egg so it was really just oily stuff from the egg on the tinfoil. I am wondering if there dog ate Poison and there trying to stick me with it.
