What Chronic Nasal Remedies worked for you?

Background: Winter 2005 I had a sinus infection accompanied by Sinusitis. I took the antibiotics and whatever else I was given but I subsequently got addicted to good ol' Afrin Nasal Spray. I've been completely off the Nasal spray for a good year and a half, but I have complete blockage of one nostril at all times. It feels like a pressure thing but there's also a lot of mucus aculating in the nasal page. AND it will go from one nostril to the other so it's not just one side that is always plugged, they trade off throughout the day. My doctor and a specialist have both prescribed nasal steroids in the past (Nasonex, Flonaze) but they have done absolutely nothing other than causing my nasal pages to be very dry and bleed. I want to ask my doctor about Endoscopic Nasal Surgery but I don't know if it will work for me. What have people done or had done, to help fix their nasal problems? Thanks! I'm at wits end!
