Would it be a hate crime to drive around throwing water balloons at hipsters?

I keep seeing these hipsters around town with their fashionable bicycles, flannel shirts and neon sungles talking about superficial things like tattoos and indy music (formerly known as pop music). Would it be a hate crime if I were to drive around town and peg them with water balloons?
